  • 2008 Beijing Olympics Personal Coach

  • Assistant Coach of the University of Oklahoma 2015 NCAA National Champions

  • Coach of the 2025 USAG Level 10 Men’s Development Team Champions

  • 2025 USAG Men’s Development Program Coach of the Year

Pacific Reign is thrilled to welcome Norimasa "Nori" Iwai as Men’s Team Director. Nori brings a rare combination of elite competitive experience and transformative coaching impact that is unmatched in the Pacific Northwest. Since 2015, Nori built a junior team program from the ground up, transforming the program into the 2025 Level 10 Men’s Development Team Champions in just 10 years.

As a competitor, Nori represented Japan in men's gymnastics at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. As a coach, he has worked at the highest levels of the sport — most recently in Texas, where over more than a decade he developed multiple athletes who went on to compete in NCAA Division I men's gymnastics programs.

His most celebrated coaching achievement: personally guiding Raj Bhavsar to a team bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. He has also served on the coaching staff at the University of Oklahoma and was honored as the 2025 USAG Men’s Development Program Coach of the Year & Texas Gymnastics Judges Association (TGJA) Coach of the Year.

Nori's coaching philosophy centers on connection, discipline, work ethic, detail and developing the complete gymnast. We are honored to have him call Pacific Reign home.
